Tomorrow is a
very important day for politicians, especially the presidential candidates for
the 2016 presidential election. It is
Iowa Caucus day, which basically is the day that supporters go out and caucus or
rally for the political candidate they are supporting. The Iowa Caucus defines
who will most likely “Win” the sate. It
does not mean they will win the nomination for their party. However, it is a really good indicator of who
will get a high percentage of supporters.
Presently, Bernie Sanders is trailing Hillary Clinton with 42% according
to the polls while Hillary Clinton is at a 45%.
Tomorrow will be a nail-biting day for both politicians. Many think that Bernie Sanders, who is a Socialist
Democrat from Vermont, is pretty much overrated, but, boy, has he stirred up
quite a commotion and gathered large crowds. Not to mention the big movement he
has inspired in todays youth. He has
kick-started a movement throughout the American by promising free college
education. Students who are knee deep in loans are ecstatic about Bernie
Sanders’ campaign. He has also promised
to raise the minimum wage to 15 dollars an hour because he believes that people
who work 40 hours or more should not be living in poverty, idea that I
absolutely agree with. Can this 74
year-old Socialist from Vermont be our next president? In just about10 short
months we will find out. Although, I am
a Clinton supporter and will be voting for her in November provided she is the
Democratic Nominee. Should she not be
the Nominee, I would probably “feel the Bern” as I am a Democrat.
